MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the St. Pete Road Runners (SPRR) is to encourage running and walking for individuals of all ages and abilities in a social environment while promoting fitness and providing education in the community. The SPRR club is well suited for the recreational runner or walker as well as the serious competitor.
St. Pete Beach Summer 5K Series - SPRR has organized a Summer 5K Series on the beach (yes, on the sand). The races will be on Friday evenings and take place at 7 PM on June 6, July 11, and August 8. The races will start and end in front of Harry's Beach Bar at the Sirata Beach Resort, which is located at 5300 Gulf Blvd. After the race, you will be able to enjoy free beer, food, and music at Harry's. I can't think of a better Friday night Happy Hour! Additional information and a downloadable race entry is available on the Summer 5K Series webpage.
The next club meeting will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 6:30pm. Yoga instructor Maureen Ahern will be speaking at the meeting. The meeting will be held at The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast Service Center, which is located at 3050 1st Avenue South in St. Petersburg. Click here for a map.

NEW GROUP RUN - SPRR is offering a new group run at 6 PM on Tuesday nights at the St. Pete Beach Recreational Center located at 7701 Boca Ciega Drive in St. Pete Beach.
